Notes: This is a crossbow, large in size and usually with a metal bow. It is usually cocked with a crank or pulley system, but crossbows manufactured after the war from improvised materials often do not have these features. The heavy crossbow has a pull of up to 700 pounds.

Notes: This is a medium bow designed for use while mounted. It has a pull of 40-60 pounds.

Notes: This is a standard sort of crossbow, somewhat heavier than that given in the rules. It has a pull of up to 350 pounds, and is often cocked with a hand crank or lever.

Notes: This is the weapon that made English archers famous. Weapons similar to this were made all over the world, and composite bows are reinforced with bone, extra wood, or fiberglass.

Notes: This is a larger version of the light crossbow, with a pull of up to 400 pounds. It can be found with cranks, pulleys, or levers for cocking, and just as often metal instead of wooden or fiberglass bows.

Notes: This is a large, ballista-like weapon, firing huge bolts. It must be cranked by an attached pulley system, as it has a pull of up to 1200 pounds. The bow is usually made of thick metal. Most of the weapons of this type are improvised weapons made rather recently when ammunition for firearms became more scarce. They can often be found on an improvised tripod mount.

Notes: This is a small bow with a little more power than the hunting bow found in the game rules. Pull is 30-50 pounds.

Notes: This is a simple cloth or leather strap with a cup in the middle, to hurl a rock or metal bullet with greater force than possible with the unaided hand. In practice, it requires great skill to use effectively. The sling is fired using Thrown Weapon skill.

Notes: This is a weapon normally used for hunting underwater. The spear is usually barbed, and a rope or elastic thong usually connects the projectile to the gun. In that case, range is limited by the length of the rope. It is also often used by troops that operate underwater. This weapon, like crossbows, is fired using the Early Firearms skill.
