Bravia Commando Mk II

Notes: This is another jeep clone (it is, in fact, an M151 produced under license and with some modifications).  Chief among these modifications is the use of a Model 104HC gasoline engine developing 91 horsepower. There are also minor dimensional differences and in details such as the make of the headlights, bumpers, etc. The Commando has a removable canvas tilt over a frame and removable doors, as well as a windshield that folds forward over the hood. On some Commandos this windshield has a split in it to allow the carrying of an M40 106mm recoilless rifle.

Bravia Gazela

Notes: This is a light 4x4 truck used by Portugal.  It has a conventional layout, and the troop seats face outwards down the center.  The cargo area may be covered with a canvas over bows, and has drop sides and a drop tailgate. The standard cab has a canvas roof and removable doors, but an all-metal cab similar to that of the Bravia Leopardo III may be fitted instead. The standard engine is a Perkins turbodiesel developing 90 horsepower, but a GAZ gasoline engine developing 180 horsepower may be installed instead. The front has a Braden winch with a capacity of 4536 kilograms.

Variants include a cargo/troop carrier, ambulance, shelter carrier (usually for communications equipment), and a fire engine.

UMM Light Vehicle

Notes: This Jeep-like light vehicle is used by Portugal, Angola, Cape Verde, Congo, France, and Netherlands.  It comes in two versions, a Long Wheelbase (LWB) and a standard version. Like most Jeeps, it can be covered by a canvas tilt over a folding frame or can have a hardtop.  If the tilt is not used, a weapon mount may be placed on a post behind the front seats. The layout is conventional, with the engine up front under a hood and engine compartment, the commander’s and driver’s seat in the center, and a rear cargo/passenger section. The UMM 490 is equipped with a 62-horsepower diesel engine; the UMM 494 is powered by a 67-horsepower diesel engine; and the Alter has a 110-horsepower diesel engine or a 75-horsepower diesel engine.

Variants include a personnel carrier, cargo carrier, weapons carrier, a police version, and a hydraulics maintenance vehicle.
